Global Diagnostics (Irl) , partnering with Vhi Healthcare, provides a full computered radiology X-ray and digital Ultrasound services from the Vhi SwiftCare Clinic in Swords from 8am-10pm, 365 days per year transmitting images via our secure web-based Global-Link Teleradiology system for immediate analysis and reporting. Our radiologists utilise voice recognition software to facilitate rapid turn-around-times.

The digital images and diagnostic report are readily available to the referring clinician on their desk-top monitors within the Clinic and appropriate timely treatment is then instituted in keeping with the SwiftCare vision.

Global Diagnostics and our sister enterprise Imaging the South (ITS) in Western Australia has a 13 year track record of delivering real-time diagnostics to A&E Departments around the clock around the world. The synergies were compelling for The Vhi SwiftCare Project Team in selecting Global as their diagnostics partner and we look forward to delivering high quality care to the patients of the Vhi SwiftCare Clinics in the years to come!

Swords Clinic

Vhi Healthcare, in partnership with Centric Health, has set up Ireland’s 1st urgent care centres for all who have minor injuries and illnesses. You no longer have to endure endless hours of queuing in your local A&E, now you have a choice.

The Clinics complement the services of your G.P., and you will be referred back to your G.P. for ongoing care, where appropriate.

All patients are assessed by one of our medical practitioners on arrival and it is their aim to ensure that your minor injury or illness is dealt with within 1 hour!

Anyone can use the facilities, not just Vhi Healthcare members.

What type of conditions CAN be treated?

Sprains or possible breaks
Minor burns
Cuts that may need a stitch
Minor eye & ear conditions
Sports injuries
General medical conditions

Vhi Healthcare members are entitled to the same benefits that their Plan currently provides under GP visits, Physiotherapy visits and the Schedule of GP Surgical Procedures.
