Any Qualified Provider

Global Diagnostics provides ultrasound services on behalf of NHS commissioning groups across the UK. The services provide local access to high quality sonography sessions for primary care physicians allowing patients the choice to access care closer to home in a primary care setting.

A full list of our ultrasound sites is provided here. We will continue to expand the range of locations and are interested to talk to CCGs, super practices or federations of GPs who may be interested in local commissioning of GP services.

Global Diagnostics provides imaging services for private patients from our centres in Norwich, Northampton and Stoke. Enjoying relationships with all of the major health insurers our patient engagement team will be happy to organise an appointment at one of our centres at a time and day that suits.

Meet our Management Team

David Sheehan Global Diagnostics

David Sheehan
Managing Director

David Sheehan is the Managing Director of the Global Diagnostics service across UK and Ireland.

Having joined Centric Health eight years ago shortly after the acquisition of Global Diagnostics, David has worked across the UK, Ireland and formerly Australian teams to drive the business growth with our local talented management groups.

David holds a BA (Mathematics, Economics) and MA (Economics) from University College Dublin.

Max Jennings
Country Manager

Max is a qualified nurse with 30 years' experience within the NHS and Private healthcare sectors. Max became Country Manager in 2018 and has delivered a number of improvements since the beginning of the year. He has extensive experience of operational management and is adept at care pathway design and development.

Max works in collaboration with his senior management team to ensure the organisation’s ambition are delivered safely and in line with CQC standards. He takes great pride in the team and with the introduction of the Patient Pledge, ensures that our patients are our priority.

Max retains the day to day running of the Global Clinic Norwich.

Nicki Samuels
Clinic Services Manager

Nicki qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 1989 and has experience in General and MRI specialities and as Clinical Lecturer for Student Radiographers before joining Global Diagnostics in 2011.

Nicki initially joined Global Diagnostics as Clinical Governance Lead, but shortly afterwards became the Clinic Services Manager at The Global Clinic, Norwich, and service Lead for the community based ultrasound services in Cambridge and Essex.

Nicki has ample experience in the clinical and governance management of all clinical and radiology services in both the public and private sector, and has experience as Quality Manager for ISO 9001 Quality Systems, patient safety and risk management.

Her current role at The Global Clinic Norwich is to provide Clinical Leadership and seamless integration between the clinical, operational and business aspects of Global Diagnostics UK.

Les De-Lara
Information Management and Governance Manager

On leaving the armed forces after spending 25 years in the service, Les retrained in IT and has since gained many qualifications. Les joined Global Diagnostics in 2008 bringing with him a wealth of all round IT experience, since then he has trained in Information Governance and now takes the lead Information Governance role within the company.

As Data Protection Officer Les provides the day to day leadership in Information Governance and has gained a diploma in Risk Management. He is also the resident expert on ISO 27001

Max Jennings
Operational Site Manager Global Clinic Norwich

Max is a qualified nurse with 30 years' experience within the NHS and Private healthcare sectors.

He has extensive experience of operational management and care pathway design and development.

Max is responsible for the nursing team and the future development of the clinical services at the Global Clinic Norwich.

Sally Walker
Clinical Assurance Lead Working within the Governance Team

Sally is an experienced radiographer who also delivers our DXA service in Coventry. Sally also provides a number of elements of clinical assurance as part of our governance and assurance framework, notably our audit and assurance processes. She is also the Caldicott Guardian for Global Diagnostics.

Michelle Corsi
Radiology Services Manager

Michelle runs the majority of the contracts throughout the country. With extensive expertise in operational management within the NHS, Michelle works in conjunction with clinicians and operations coordinators to ensure our clinics run effectively. She also manages contracts requirements and ensures that our clinical services are delivered in adherence to high clinical standards

Lucy Wordsworth
Governance Manager

With a background in risk, programme management and governance, Lucy’s role is to ensure that we do the right things in the right way at the right time. She is also a firm believer in identifying opportunities to change and improve so that we can deliver a high quality service to our patients and referrers regardless of their location.

Lucy is the organisation’s Freedom to Speak Up Guardian and deputy Safeguarding contact.

Mark Holder
HR Generalist

Mark joined Global Diagnostics at the end of 2017. For the last 10 years he has been undertaking interim HR management roles in a wide range of sectors, covering both generalist HR and Employee Relations roles. Prior to a career break Mark worked for 25 years in HR Management roles mainly in manufacturing and as an HR Consultant.

His career break involved travelling the world and visiting 42 countries in 32 months.

His interests include modern jive dancing, and jogging.

Sarah Hicks
Business Development Manager

Sarah joined the company in January 2018 following spending 12 years working in Operational Management within the NHS. Sarah has had experience of managing a variety of clinical specialties in different hospitals across the country, specialising in management of surgical specialties, and patient access.

Sarah has undertaken a number of leadership and management courses, and is a certified workplace coach.

Sarah’s role is supporting Business Development in prisons, providing access to diagnostic healthcare in prison environments.
