MRI lead

Are you an experienced, professional MRI Radiographer with a commitment to high class patient care and the drive to work within a high performing team? If so, we invite you to join our friendly and dynamic team at Global Diagnostics Ltd.

We are looking for an exceptional Diagnostic Radiographer who has extensive experience to lead our MRI team in Norwich.

The MRI department is currently equipped with one mobile unit, which is due to be replaced over next few months with a Static MRI scanner. This role will be key in the development of the new build MRI suite over the coming months.

As post holder, you will have line management responsibility for staff in MRI, including their supervision and development. You should also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and developing a service and managing staff effectively. Training of rotational radiographers in MRI will be essential, as will review and implementation of new scanning protocols in conjunction with Radiologists and ensuring all staff are aware of the new studies and procedures. You will also be required to take an active role in supporting the management structure within other imaging modalities.

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Diagnostic Radiographers who satisfy the essential criteria of the person specification. Candidates must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and be able to demonstrate extensive post graduate experience, preferably in MRI.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. You must be comfortable working under pressure, enjoy being part of a busy team, can multi-task and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams. Attention to detail, the ability to organise at a high level and a flexible approach to work are prerequisites of this role.

The service operates from Monday to Sunday 07.30 to 22.00. This post is for 37.5 hours per week and it is envisaged that the post holder will be required to work those work hours over five days per week between the service operating times.

The successful candidate will also be required to participate in the on-call rota for which payment will be made at our standard on call rates.

IEP administrator

We have a vacancy to join the motivated and forward thinking team in the role of Patient Administrator (IEP) based at Norwich.

This position is pivotal to the smooth running of the imaging service and external customer administration.

As part of the role you will be required to transfer images to and from external providers via the Image Exchange Portal in accordance with local protocol and Caldicott principles.

The role is for 37.5 hours per week to be worked between 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Saturday.

Stoke Radiographer

Due to the on-going expansion of services, we have opportunities for Radiographers to join our X-Ray Team based at Stoke on an as and when basis. The X-Ray Department at in Stoke serves walk-in patients, in-patients and consultant referrals. As post holder, you will:

  • provide a comprehensive and effective high quality plain film X-Ray service
  • perform a range of X-Ray examinations and maintain a high level of expertise in the safe operation of imaging equipment
  • maintain and promote high professional and ethical standards of clinical practice ensuring all aspects of clinical governance are fulfilled

Requirements:

  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a Radiographer
  • Demonstrable evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Some post registration experience and ability to work independently
  • Excellent patient care skills

MSK Sonographer

We have an opportunity for an MSK sonographer to join our clinical team in Exeter and Dorset.

Your role

You will act as an autonomous reporting practitioner for ultrasound scanning undertaking a range of ultrasound examinations including general abdominal, renal, gynae and testes. MSK experience is essential.

You will take a lead role in providing an effective, comprehensive and high quality ultrasound service. You will be supported by a Clinical Assistant in all clinics. Previous experience in a community based role would be beneficial, although this is not essential.

Requirements

You should have a CASE accredited postgraduate qualification in ultrasound or equivalent and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or be registered on the Public Voluntary Register of Sonographers.

You should have post qualification experience in general ultrasound scanning including abdominal, renal, gynae and testes. MSK experience is essential for this post. Previous experience in a community based role would be beneficial, though not essential.
